Hi,

(2√3 + 3√2)(3√3 - √2) =
FOIL this together

6√9 - 2√6 + 9√6 - 3√4 =
Simplify the radicals when possible.

6(3) - 2√6 + 9√6 - 3(2) =
18 + 7√6 - 6 =
Combine like terms.

12 + 7√6 <== ANSWER

I hope that helps!! :-)

(2√3 + 3√2) (3√3 - √2)
(6 x 3) - 2√6 + 9√6 - (3 x 2)
12 + 7√6

(2√3 + 3√2)(3√3 - √2)
Sheesh. I get confused just looking at it.

I gotta get rid of the visual overload temporarily:
(a+b)(c+d) = ac + ad + bc + bd
= (2√3)(3√3) + (2√3)(-√2) + (3√2)(3√3) + (3√2)(-√2)
= (6·3) + (-2√2√3) + (9√2√3) + (-3·2)
= 18 + 7√2√3 - 6
= 12 + 7√2√3

What's the answer?

just multiply the terms...
here's the breakdown:
2sqrt of 3 * 3 sqrt of 3 = 18
2sqrt of 3 * -sqrt of 2 = -2 sqrt of 6
3 sqrt of 2 * 3 sqrt of 3 = 9 sqrt of 6
3 sqrt of 2 * -sqrt of 2 = 6

add the terms
and you should get 12 + 7 sqrt of 6.

multiplying this out, I get:

6(3) - 2sqrt(6) + 9sqrt(6) - 6(2)

= 18 + 7 sqrt(6) - 12

= 6 + 7 sqrt(6)

Can't tell what you're doing wrong without seeing your work. Note that sqrt3(sqrt3) = 3 and sqrt2(sqrt3) = sqrt6.

that's it! :)

root3=x and root2=y

(2x+3y)(3x-y)=6x*2-2xy+9xy-3y*2
=6times3+7xy-3times2
=18+7xy-6
=12+7xy
=12+7times(root3)times(root2)
