no because if you're going to ban fashion shows, then you're going to put people out of jobs. if you're going to ban fashion shows, then all art shows should be banned. would it make sense to do that? not at all. what would be the point of banning fashion shows? do you think that models perpetuate eating disorders?

I think anything that advertises things that can lead to ill health, such as becoming anorexic in desparation to look as thin as those so called models is wrong. Just like advertising cigarettes is wrong. Teenage girls are so impressionable and they will copy what they see is the 'in' thing to do or to be so I think the fashion industry should be more responsible. It is time some normal sized models (size 10 or 12) are used. There are a vast number of people in places like Africa that are so desparate to fatten up a bit because they are starving an in our wealthy society (as we now have nothing else to worry about) girls develop diseases that makes them starve to death. The fashion industry is unfortunately lead by gay men who don't think women are attractive at all (that's why they are gay!) so they think that a woman with a figure of an adolescent boy is the way forward. And no, it's not going to make 'fatties' feel more comfortable to see these so called models banned from fashion shows because of their BMI. So I can only hope that other cities and countries will follow this example very soon. And if modeling agencies see it as a threat then so be it. I'm sure they will not go bankrupt just because some of their models will get rejected. It's time they thought about it too and started hiring some real women.

No! Fashion is a form of art, and art is a form of expression.
Not all models are classic beauty's which proves that everyone is beautiful in their own right. Fashion shows are fun for those participating and those watching.
Fashion is a passion for many. Saying that a fashion show should be banned is like saying concerts should be banned.
The real issue is whether size zero should be banned from the catwalks.

Fashion shows are a good way to view the up coming trends but I do wish they would use realistically sized models who do not need to smoke dope to achieve the much talked of size 0. It is almost impossible for us mere mortals to ever achieve this stick like shape. As an amusing aside I met a person who modelled female fashion on the catwalks of Paris HE had a straight up and down figure and was gorgeously gay. How can women aspire to such role models?

Absolutely not. The fashions presented in couture designer shows are the more flamboyant and extravagant issue of the clothes we will be offered at our local department store. Clothes sold to the masses are a toned down version of what is on the runways.

No! If someone wants to watch a fashion show they should be able to. Regardless of all the problems it may cause. Besides, if someone if naive enough to have issues with a fashion show, they don't have to go far to find other, possibly worse, issues.

no, fashion is apart of society. The strict size requirements should be banned, it's ruining today's youth, but not fashion itself. It's a form of expression, I see it as art sometimes.

1)fashon shows are ways for the desioners to show their work just like how artists have diplays up to show their paintings.
2) it has some designs that people can have reference to how to dress.
