He's a great guy, but his inexperience is a little scary after the mess that's been made in the last 8 years. The mess may be too massive for a rookie. Not that there are too many other choices. Certainly not Hillary.

Yes, that is something that people are definitely going to scrutinize as the elections near. Obama is a great American, and I think he would be an alright president, but he has a couple of things working against him. He's too young, in some people's eyes. His name is a little weird, (Barack Hussein Obama). It's not fair that his name will hurt him, but it will. He's black. This also should no longer be an issue, but some people, especially in the South, will not vote for him just because of his skin color. It's sad that that is an issue in the year 2008!

I think the fact that Obama is perceived as a black man and somehow related to Islam will make him less likely to win. If inexperience was a drawback to the average American voter, Bush Jr. wouldn't have gotten so many votes.
As an Illinois voter who put Obama in the US Senate, I won't vote for him because he really has not been doing his job for us. He somehow got rock star status after his convention speech and started talking about running for president without proving himself in the Senate. I don't like him and won't vote for him for president or to re elect him as senator.

No. In the last election, the top reason that Kerry was more qualified than Bush was combat "experience". We were fed it to the point of nausea. And now, here comes Obama, no military experience, no foreign policy experience, not even one full term in the Senate, no clear leadership experience of any kind. All he has to offer is "change". I am sure that if elected, there most definitely would be change. Unemployment of 15%, double digit prime interest rates, 45% base tax rates, gas rationing. I'm not saying that is what would happen but I have seen it. Not all change is for the good.
Change is what Jimmy Carter promised. And boy, did we ever get it.

Obama's inexperience compared to whose? What did GWB's resume look like before 2000? What was his experience? What's Hilary's experience (first lady doesn't qualify as executive experience)? If it's experience you want, Biden, McCain and any number of candidates have far more extensive resumes than the front runners. But as we all saw in 2000, experience is not high on the voter's wish list.

i do no longer keep in mind his pointing out what those rules are during the marketing campaign. I in elementary terms keep in mind his dissing Romney's rules. all of us be attentive to that he's going to whack the prosperous, yet that may not even make a dent interior the deficit. we could desire to make massive cuts in expenditure. Obama's purpose to try this must be vigorously detrimental by means of his union friends and ought to no longer be suggested till now the election. Now that the election is over, Obama is loose to do regardless of he needs no count number if his ex-supporters like it or no longer. So, to ultimately answer your question, his re-election makes it achieveable for him to do risky issues and smart issues. permit's desire that he chooses the latter.

No I don't. The presidency is not a job where one should learn as you go. While every president must learn on the job, you must have a good base of knowledge to start from, something Barack is missing and while you can not really consider him as a candidate.

I don't agree with you.Experience does matter most blended with capacity to lead.A leader has to lead, has to be bold enough to decide on major issues taking the opinion of experts on the Roll of the President.
Obama lacks both.He can't be a good choice.Do you want a probationer President for the first term of his to gather experience and learn to lead ?And, the same one can be re-elected as President .........!!!???

Obama's inexperience makes him a stronger and more honest candidate than Hillary with all her alledged White House experience, and make believe presidential qualifications.
