I go and click on the Astronomy and space link to answer another question and encounter this:

"Drat. Nothing here right now.
Why don't you become the first to ask a question instead?"

Just a few moments ago, the category had plenty of questions listed!

OK - so 5 points won't go to waste: How many of you out there think that little space rock is going to smack into Mars on Jan 30, 2008? They just increased the odds of impact to 1 in 25 or a 4% probability while further refinement is possible with continual tracking of that object.

As for your first question...it's just a glitch. It happens to me sometimes, and then when I refresh, the questions are back. I suppose the Terrible, Horrible Internet Beast came lurking by, so they had to hide the questions momentarily, lest they be devoured. You can't be too careful with a Terrible, Horrible Internet Beast lurking around, you know.

Now, about that rock...you know, I haven't heard about that, but that will surely be something to look forward to. I'd give it, oh, say, 1 chance in 25 of actually hitting Mars. Call it a gut instinct. Good luck!

Hey i ask questions able space technology but when i do i get maybe 3 or 4 answers, i asked a question the La Grange Points or Visual Intensity of Brown Dwarf stars and get jack for real answers, but when i ask questions like what would be a good name for Lunar Hooch i get more answers than i would if i asked a legitimate space question.

Hi. I do not know if it will actually hit Mars or not. I'm more concerned about a close call and the change in orbit of the rock!

It is possible that the user had sent the same question again. Sometimes it can happened cause the system looks as nothing was sended and the user repeats the action.

You don't necessarily have to ask a question... Although this is a good one.
When I get that on my screen, I'll usually hit the 'refresh' button at the top of the browser.
The questions reappear 99% of the time...

BTW, I still think it's going to miss...
