-First and foremost, thank you all for kindly imparting your time to assist me in my troubles.

I am writing a paper on Global Warming- and the assignment says either to use a source list or footnotes to cite my sources. Is a source list the same as a biblioagraphy? If I were to use foot notes, how do I incorporate it in the paper?

This may be a bit more than your school requires but should cover your main points.

Footnotes enable the reader to locate the source of specific information to which you refer in the text; by acknowledging your sources you also protect yourself from charges of plagiarism.

A quotation is a section of text taken word for word from a primary or secondary source. It may be from a few words to several sentences long. All quotations should be clearly indicated and their source given.

The idea is the essay is your work, not material copied from somewhere else, so if you are quoting from somewhere else it should be indicated as being such.

Indicate a footnote reference by inserting a superscripted number (Format > Font) at the end of the sentence. (Microsoft Word will do this for you when you choose Insert > Reference > Footnote.)

The number in the text points the reader to the bottom of the page, where bibliographical details are provided after the same number. Use ordinary Arabic numerals (1, 2, …), not Roman numerals or letters.

The sources (Also called the BIBLIOGRAPHY) usually goes at the end of the essay should list all books, articles, websites and other sources you used in preparing your essay. You need to list them regardless of whether you’ve directly quoted from them or not. They have still given you ideas and information that have shaped your essay. List items in alphabetical order, by author’s surname.

Not necessarily the same. Bibliography tends to be used in relation to books but some other sources are interviews or even yahoo answers.
For footnotes, if you are using MS Word, go to the place in the text where you want to note the source, click "Insert" from the menu bar and then "Footnote" and away you go.
Hope this helps

Yes, a source list is a list of all the books or Web pages you´ve searched on to complete your essay.
Foot notes are notes on the foot (the bottom) of the paper.
So, list every source you have searched on in a separate paper and then write at in the bottom of the last page of the essay, but make sure you have enough space!

I didn´t remember about the Word command, since I have Office 2007 and the Setup screwed up... so I use WordPad.

The content is the same for bibliography or footnotes.
The format is different, bibliography being more formal.
Footnotes typically go at the bottom of each page.
Bibliographies come at the end of the essay/paper.
Footnotes can expand on the source with an explanation.
Bibliography just cites page/book/paper, author, etc.

I hope this is recycled paper or you are adding to global warming due to less trees breathing.
p.s. And you should put this in your paper as a footnote.

Hopefully your paper wont have as many inaccuracies as Al Gores film, and will show that all we hear about it is unproven political bull.Unlike the History of the Earth

for footnotes if your using word:
1. go to insert
2. go down to refrence
3. go to footnote
then i think you can take it from there
