Six years ago, an old friend found me. We hadn't seen each other since 1968, when we'd had a bit of a fling. Circumstances forced us apart, and we went our separate ways, married other people, had families, got divorced. Then in 2001, he looked me up using the Internet, because he was writing his memoirs and wanted to locate people who'd had an impact on his life.
Long story cut short ....we corresponded for a year via the Internet, first through long letters, then IM, then phone calls. Then I flew interstate to visit him, and we've been together ever since. Next Saturday we are going to be married, exactly 5 years after our first meeting at the airport.
We look older, but in our hearts we are just the same people. Thank heavens for his determination to find me ,and for the good old Internet which we used to such good effect.

I have re-united with many of my old Air Force buddies thru Veteran's Sites as well as my own website. I eMail buddies all the time that i have not seen in almost 30 years. Had a reunion 2 years ago but couldn't make it as it was in Florida and time and money prevented it.
I wanted to go to Australia to see an old AF friend but he got a brain tumor and recently passed away... not even 60 yo.
Hope we can do another before more of us are gone.

I have succeeded in meeting up with almost half of my form from school, many of whom have turned the big 6O, so there have been quite a few parties to attend, and this has helped in catching up with others. Of course we have all aged, and its been wonderful to catch up and remonise with them!
It has made me appreciate how lucky we have been to make it to this age, and in still pretty good shape! There have been many who did not, or fell by the way side, very sadly.
Its also been so interesting to hear how they made out, what they did, how they got where ever they are. Like flowers in the wind. Aint life wonderful !? Happy New year.

I reunited with my best friend from childhood when my father died five years ago. She called and invited my daughter, my granddaughter and I to stay with her the week of the funeral. So when we went back 500 miles to my hometown, it was so wonderful to see her again after forty years. She had inherited her parents' home and I felt like I was truly AT HOME because I'd spent so much of my teen years in that house. It helped me get through burying my daddy to be with her. We still keep in touch. At Daddy's funeral my college roommate and I had a sweet reunion and one of my high school classmates was there. Daddy had taught both of us Senior English. I also reunited with three people with whom I 'd taught years ago. One was a pallbearer (he'd been one of Daddy's students before we taught together). Two years ago I found a high school friend's e-mail address on our school's website and I wrote her. We have kept in touch by e-mail almost every day since.

I fairly love acquaintances!!! and could do till the day I die!!! yet I doubt that they are going to do a action picture with the aid of fact from interviews it style of feels that no longer each and all the solid could prefer to with the aid of fact they sense the expectancy is purely too severe for a action picture and it may must be as a good as, if not extra suitable than the sequence that's annoying to conquer!! additionally i think of distinctive it rather is right down to the writers - with the aid of fact i think of they sense that's going to be left because it rather is. i think of if the solid have been to reunite it may be for a definite one-off episode or some thing celebrating ten years with the aid of fact the finale! or some thing like that...yet i'm purely guessing! :)

I haven't located, or tried, to locate any old lovers, but an old shipmate of mine was so easy to find on MY SPACE...I just typed her name in and BINGO there she was. I sent her an email...got an immediate response. She told me where she lived and her phone numbers. I passed the info on to 3 others that we used to hang with back in the mid-80's. I was going to call her the next day, but my wife couldn't wait. By the time we talked to her, 2 of the 3 (including one of my sons) had already called her. (she had become very close with our family). It really put a spike in her day.
I've been in contact with a few of my other old shipmates (mostly from my time in Antarctica and one ship which I made the fist reunion last year here in our home port...and the ship is sitting outside my warehouse at the inactive ships command) through various Internet venues (mostly, THEY found ME).

How wonderful for you! I did meet up with one of my best friends a few years ago. It turned out that we were living within a few miles of each other. Our friendship wasn't rekindled. She had decided to stay living her high school days forever and I decided to grow up and move away from the drugs.
