Human beings basically have two major emotions, love and fear. Fear is the impetus for hate, anger, intolerance,
arrogance being judgemental . When someone or something is new or different from what we're used to , we become fearful and anxious and with those feelings, depending on the extremity, rage and bullying will set in.One becomes afraid that he/she won't get their piece of the pie, won't keep his/her status so he/she becomes enraged and lashes out . He/she feels that the abundance available to all of us , isn't enough and he/she will be missing some of it .
That's where rage comes from.

If you see a tiny infant, they show a lot of rage when their needs aren't met immediately. Learning that one has to inhibit the storms of rage happens with socialization. But the rage is there, as it's a normal human emotion. Rage is triggered all the time (e.g., road rage) but most people channel it quickly into anger which is more acceptable.

Self-love. An angry, furious, hateful person stirs up strife, because he/she can't get whats selfishly wanted.

Lack of self-control. Some people think its cool to show how mad they can get. Others will "turn you off" if they have to listen to you rant and rave..
