Just curious. Can anyone who does this give us a good reason why? Or are you just having a bad day? Would it not be better to try to make friends instead of showing how upset you are?

I would have to agree with much of what I've already read for answers. Some people are just mean spirited and probably don't like themselves very much so they enjoy putting others down. Maybe there is some jealousy because you, or others have some fans and friends. I just ignore them, as I see that so many answers on a variety of questions, are really nice and yet they all get thumbs down anyway.
I'll throw a serious quote in here that I read just yesterday. I thought it had some good points to it." When you find peace within yourself, you become the kind of person who can live at peace with others." Some never find that...

I don't get that there are people who do that...but I know I have at least one non-fan who gives any answer he sees of mine a thumbs-down within seconds of me posting a reply.

I've given a few thumbs down...and one by accident (which I guess really wasn't balanced by giving a thumbs up as well, oops) but to answers I though were either exceptionally cruel or just incredibly stupid! But in about 350 postings, I still think it's been less than five or six thumbs down I've given...I much prefer to give the thumbs up when I see things I like or people I agree with.

Very busy at work tonight, eh, Squirrel? :-)

Good replies. Anything I might add would border on redundancy.

I've only given 2 out of the posts I've read since I've been here, which are many. There were tons that deserved it, but were too stupid to bother with. The ones I gave them to had made cruel remarks about children. I'd do more than give them a thumbs down if it were in my power to do so.

some people merely desire to decide others. some do no longer in easy terms like the persons Avatar and could supply them a thumbs down or some do no longer in easy terms like the ideas-blowing individuals and that they too get a thumbs down merely meanspirited people available

I just wondered that myself on some of your questions.. I didnt see any reason why they would cause all the answers were good to me. Go figure , just lots of rotten folks around wanting to do something bad..to make some one else look bad. I really think some one is out there that's trying to make your life miserable sweetie. I just saw all the thumbs down on this one..You can figure it out just think.

I think there might be a few Juvenal delinquents roaming around Yahoo Answers. Remember Dylans " The pump don't work cause the Vandal took the Handle. " ?..:)

They are pathetic and have nothing better to do than to try to ruin someone's day by giving them a thumbs down.

Preach it Brother. I thought we were here to make Friends and give advice not make enemies. I guess they take it out their A** and then they have to stick it somewhere. Beats the Heck out of me! I don't know what enjoyment they get out of it.

Lack of a social life has caused them to become socially dyslexic and to strike out at the society that they shun is the only way that they can feel connected to a world they shall never have.
