Go ahead and apply. As an international student the standards for admission will be lowered slightly. However, if your goal is to study in the United States, do not just apply to the very best schools. Also apply to lesser schools. Why? Because in all probability the top schools will reject you, but the lesser schools will give you a chance to study abroad.

You would have to do far better on the SATs in order to get into these schools. Keep in mind that the total these days is out of 2400, and these are some of the most competitive scores in the country. Thousands of people with excellent scores apply and get rejected every year. I've heard it said a number of times on this forum that this past year, Harvard rejected 1200 students with perfect (2400) test scores, so while you may have the grades and a good set of extracurricular activities, they may excuse 100 or 150 points on the SAT because you are an international student, but not more than 500 points!

Princeton's admissions are in line with six factors.. extreme college GPA SAT scores Athletics Legacy the place you reside Your race/ethnicity i think of that extracurriculars do not relatively supply you factors in admissions, yet will help while they make their very final determination. i don't understand how they rank applicants in terms of the six factors, yet i will say that that is complicated. maximum folk conventional to Princeton scored above a 1450 on the previous SATs. My chum scored a 2200 on the hot SATs, grew to become into in variety Congress, student Council, Boy's State, Latin club, national Honor Society, grew to become into an Eagle Scout, had varsity letter in 2 activities, took an effortless of 5 honors training each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days and not in any respect have been given under an A-, grew to become into Valedictorian, and he did not get in to Princeton or Columbia. I additionally understand a baby who grew to become into in very few golf equipment, grew to become right into somewhat interior the desirable 10% of his graduating classification, yet had wonderful SAT scores and he grew to become into conventional to Princeton. you may desire to have surprisingly lots rapidly A's even which incorporate honors training and take prep courses for SATs and take them greater beneficial than as quickly as in case you may desire to. i don't understand something approximately the different faculties. there is not something you're able to do approximately your race, region, or legacy factors, this is a few thing that maximum faculties weigh heavily while identifying. i won't be able to declare for specific what the different faculties you indexed require.
