When I was a kid, all the talk was about the hole in the ozone layer and how we had to outlaw hairspray and freon air conditioners in cars. Now that those worshipping at the altar of the Church Of Gore say that we've pumped all these thick gasses into the air, will that be what finally fixes that awful ozone hole?

Can you people not tell that this question is meant to be tongue-in-cheek? I'm telling you, you guys wouldn't get so worked up and agitated if you were really comfortable in your position that humans are 100 percent the cause of global warming is actually real.

before greenhouse gases can plug hole and destroy this planet this world wont be there itself to be destroyed ..........u know nuclear war can happen anytime ...u know the tension that is goin on between india and pakisthan ...any moment some jihads can get hold to nuclear bomb ....pakisthan i a state where terrorist can kill VVIP in the street with warning ...just how difficult will it be to get hold of those nuclear and give it to al-qeda or to lunch a strike to its die hard rival india ......and that wont be the end india just wont sit back and watch they are nuclear power and can strike back worst then pakisthan and after that what pakisthan supported by china vs indian supported by isreal and russia and in days third world war will be launched ...and it will be thousands of times more devastating then 2nd world war ....and i doubt human rce can survive such war......so forget green gas for the moment

The hole in the ozone layer was fixed wasn't it? I believe it was due to people not using CFCs in propellants as much. It took about 20 years from when the restrictions started but, it did sort of fix itself when we removed the chemicals from that layer of atmosphere.
The two phenomenon are very different though. Ozone absorbs UV radiation and CO2 absorbs predominantly visible and IR radiation. So no matter how much CO2 you put in that hole, it won't make a difference.
Also, to cast doubt on the hole in the ozone layer is basically the same thing as saying that The Earth is the center of the solar system and that it's flat and that maggots spontaneously generate from meat if you let it sit around. You do realize that as you cast doubt on science, you're doing it using a computer right?
Edit:
PD gave a very good answer about why cfc's do what they do.

a gas is not a solid. the ozone hole is huge and growing. this process will not be reversed until we fix the underlying causes of global warming, primarily burning fossil fuels. bottom line: we need to start using alternative fuels besides petroleum-based stuff, we need to start driving smaller cars, stop overheating/overcooling our living spaces, stop relying on artificial everything.
for example, all the packaging that our food etc comes in is produced at a price to the environment, and as soon as we get the stuff home, the packaging goes mostly into landfills, if it's not scattered all over the place.
imagine for a moment that we all own a set of reusable plastic dishes of varying sizes -- they can all nestle together. we carry these with us everywhere (washing them at home). when we go to a fast food place, they place our portion-controlled order into one of those dishes. you can only imagine how much less plastic and paper there would be, and they could pass at least some of the savings along to the consumer.
there is so much each of us can do to make the world a better place, and we can't rely on governments and corporations to do what we should do as responsible citizens of this planet Earth.
end of lecture and remember you heard that inspired idea about the dishes here first (maybe?)

haloalkanes like freon are powerful greenhouses gases (able to absorb IR light) - some haloalkanes catalyze the breakdown of ozone via production of a chlorine radical.
since most other greenhouse gases do not lead to the formation of chlorine radicals, they do not have an effect on the ozone layer.
ozone absorbs UV radiation - most greenhouse gases do not - they absorb IR - exciting their bonds and causing the molecule to vibrate at a greater amplitude (increase temperature). Upon relaxation the IR photon is re-emitted in a random direction - if ghg concentration is high this photon has a greater chance of being re-absorbed by another molecule or may be radiated back to earth. Eventually the photon will find its way into space - but more ghg's means more resistance to it (IR = energy = heat) leaving the planet.
your free to deny reality if you want

Have you heard of the Montreal protocol on ozone depleting substances???
hmmm seems that you missed an episode there.
You could still be a good muslim. Instead of bringing fresh water to Africa, they build hospitals so that people like you who would take the fresh water for granted instead are thankful to be healed from the disease caused by their contaminated water.
Some people will never be thankful for prevention, only for a cure once things have gone bad. It is not a sign of being bright.

Gore is trying to fight ignorance like that, he obviously has a little way to go.
The ozone destruction was not caused by greenhouse gasses and this problem was fixed by a change in manufacturing. Greenhouse gasses will not be easy to fix and it may be too late already.

we can't fix the hole in the Ozone. That's the thing about our planet. Once the ozone is gone, we can never get it back. It is irrepearable.

ofcourse the green house effect does not make hole in ozone
it traps the gases like co2 does not go out of r atmosphere
so these gases traps the heat...... near the earth surface.
and making the surface hot.
which leads to global warming

It's the evolution cycle of the earth and has nothing to do with what the politicians are saying. If they really cared about the enviroment then they wouldn't fly everywhere on a daily basis and would sort out the garbage tip in the middle of the sea caused by our trash.
Gore is the bogeyman and should be treated as such.
