This is my second child. I was due on December 27, 2007. My son was born two days past my due date, so for this baby I'm hoping for the same. But I have not noticed losing my mucus plug yet. Is there a possibility that i have lost it and didn't realize because this is my second child or what's going on? I'm so ready for her to come out of me...but to me it seems like she is just as stubborn as her brother. Please help.

This is my 3rd pregnancy (39 weeks preggo) and I have lost my mucus plug this time.
My other two pregnancies I never lost it (unless I was unaware of losing it)
I was induced with my previous 2 pregnancies also, 1st at 12 days lates, the 2nd at 8 days late.

Good luck. I hope the baby comes soon. I know how hard the waiting is, I'm with you!!!

With my first, I lost a big green plug at 37 weeks, she was born 9 days early. I'm due today with my second and I just lost my plug after my 'membrane stripping'. If I wouldn't have gotten stripped, I doubt I would've lost mine this time either. It doesn't mean you aren't close to having her, you might have missed it, or it might be waiting for labor (some do!) Congratulations on your new baby...

I lost mine after having a round of great sex....having an orgasm releases a chemical into your body.....I had sex that morning, went to sleep, got up, lost the plug, and my girl was born that evening....try it and good luck!

Sometimes the plug doesn't come out until active labor.
Good luck.
