If you're thin enough you an have an 8 pack...

Nightly sit ups and leg raises. Start to where you can do as many as you can. And then kind of figure out what's a comfortable number. And make sure you do it every single night. I do over a hundred easy a night (and that's in addition to a 10 mile run every day, yoga, and working out in the gym).

I'm training for a half-marathon an I don't have time for a 10 mile run, yoga, and calisthetics every night. I think he may be exasperating the truth. Anyway, running DEFINITELY helps, but so does alternating situps. Try to find inclines and new techniques to develop other muscles. Don't become skinny enough for an 8-pack, that's what cheaters do, and they are not impressive.

Hey, i started of with two sets of 25 sit ups, then 50 then 75 and so on and 25 stomach crunches and repeat as sit-ups, works for me.

It will vary with your condition and your metabolism plus correctness of your execution of any exercise...

But I believe NO situps is best -- ONLY crunches and reverse crunches, side bends and twists. Which should work all the abs fairly effectively to tone them and define them.

Situps put too much strain on lower back and waste a lot of movement that has NO effect on the ab muscles (beyond the crunch part of the move)

hi
my personal trainer says that while sit-ups, v-ups, and crunches can make your abs stonger (i do about 200 each night), if you work these in with daily running, your abs will not only become stong, but you will be able to see them...the results i think everyone wants.

hope this helps

first, 8 packs are genetic, some people have them and some people dont. Do cardio exersizes like running, and jogging, as well as ab exercize like crunches, situps, and leg raises.
