Well, the Brits have always had a soft spot in our hearts for General Benedict Arnold.
Having said that, I do understand if our American friends choose to disagree with me.

Arnold was absolutely Brilliant. The most competent, controversial and misunderstood General in the American Revolution. That "traitor" stuff is horse hockey if you bother to learn the truth about what happened. He was such a capable officer that he made political enemies among some of the powerful but not-so-capable elite Patriot "generals".

Treason aside, I'll have to pick Arnold. He was a brilliant general and he saved the American forces several times. If he hadn't been treated so badly by Congress, I doubt that he would have become a traitor.

Arnold was the better soldier, a much better commander, and if not for being so wrongly treated by the continental congress would have never turned traitor.

Arnold when he fought for America. When he changed sides he was never really trusted and over estimated his own popularity in America.....

Wayne was better because his men were better trained and he wasn't a traitor.
