Because i have been told i have really nice skin and eyelashes (lol) so i dont wear foundation or anything - but can mascara make your eyelashes worse in the long run? or even make them fall out, cuz i have really very long eyelashes already.

i have long lashes and after wearing mascara frequently for a period of time, i realised that my lashes are growing even longer.
but just make sure you clean off any remaining traces of mascara before you sleep. if not your eyelashes would become brittle.

It's true...any sort of makeup is bad for your skin but its especially bad when you dont take it out before you sleep and dont apply a new coat with clean eyelashes. I mean nothing will happen if you wear mascara and take it out before you sleep and one thing you should never do is rub out the mascara...and make sure the mascara is branded...make sure it comes from a good company like MAybelline or something...Plus if you got long eye lashes you could just use some clear mascara which isnt that harmful :D

I've had long lashes all of my life. I'm forty-six, and have been wearing mascara since I was about fifteen or sixteen, and have never had a problem with my lashes falling out. I think mascara *can* be bad for your eyes if it's old, though.

As for foundation, if you're not too pale and can get away without wearing it, then more power to you. I've always worn it to even out my skin tone. I'm told I have a flawless complexion. (Which at my age is something not to be taken for granted.) If you decide to wear foundation, just be diligent in removing it every night before going to bed.

Good luck!

Yes. Clean it off your lashes GENTLY and condition them with a sweep of vaseline at night. Foundation CAN be bad, but it also protects to a degree against muck in the air! I have worn it for years and years daily and my skin looks 20 years younger than my friends the same age. Its all about how well you clean it off after and how you eat and look after your skin otherwise.

My mom is 45.
And has been wearing make-up since she was like 12.
And she still has the same skin and awesomly long eyelashes.

make up doesn't not damage your skin. your more likely to get spots if you don't remove it completely before going to bed. Be careful if you've got sensitive skin and get a foundation that matches your skin type IE oily or dry.
