Does it sound too "hippie-ish" or does it sound like it could be the next big thing?

Yay or nay? I'm on the fence...

I recently met the cutest toddler named Journey, which made me sort of take interest in the name. But all your responses are cracking me up. I will have to agree that it's a bad name now! LOL

Yay! One of my teacher's grandaughter (who I absolutely adore!) is named that. I think it is an adorable name! I don't necessarily think it will be the "next big thing" but I would consider that name for a daughter. It's unique and pretty. That's a good option. The only thing is that you might want to change how it is spelled. Maybe Journie, Journee, Jurney, Jurnie, Jurnee, etc. Just be creative with the spelling. Hope this helps!

I don't think it will be the next big thing. But, that's a good thing:) You don't want a trendy/pop name you hear every time you turn the corner. There is an actress named Journey - she was in Full House in the 90s. Her name never became popular. She spelled it weird, though: Jurnee http://imdb.com/name/nm0810619/

I have a warm spot for it because it reminds me of the band Journey! Who cares if it sounds 'hippyish.' I like hippies and hippy names. Some of my favorite names are Scarlett and River - and they have a hippy tinge to them!

I don't really see "Journey" as a name. Sorry. It reminds me of that 80's band.
When ever I hear that word, it reminds me of the song, "Open arms".
If your looking for a unique "J" name I like, "Justice" for a girl.

If someone close to you has the name or their child I consider no
cause they might look at something besides the name. But if not, you have a great taste in names. It is very unique and bright its a
beautiful name!
