Ok..I posted about my 95 impreza running out of gas and not restarting...we have checked everything anyone has said and still no start....we are having it towed to be put on a diagnostic check later today if they get to it...but now im starting to wonder if something else went before I ran out of gas...checked pump, filter, has spark...checked fuses...still not running....cant get catalytic converter off to see if thats it but would a bad one stop it from starting at all? I know my exhaust is bad...anyways...let me know if anyone has any other ideas!!! Thanks for your help

we changed the fuel pump..like I said its getting fuel...

How did you check the pump? Even if it runs there may not be enough fuel pressure to make the motor run. If the check engine light is on and codes are going to be read by the mechanic soon, just wait and find out. I'm sure you'll know soon without guessing. a plugged converter usually shows up as no power when accelerating and the vehicle should still start and idle. Time to spend some $$$$$$.
