How do i save dvds to my comp?

Why would you want to! They take up vast amounts of space!

Just copy em instead.

I'm pretty sure you have to rip them or something, and you need some software thingy for that...

I use AnyDVD and CloneDVD to do that. Take a look at them at http://www.slysoft.com/en/.
