It's nylon, but it doesn't look like rip-stop. On rip-stop nylon, there's a visible grid of reinforcing strands in the fabric. These just look like they're made of plain nylon- the ones I've handled, anyway. There may be other types; if any are rip-stop, I've not seen those.

The three we have up at the ranch are plain old nylon...

They've survived 5 years now and are still doing fine
