I have a portable DVD player and it will play pictures from a flash drive on it but they have to be in JPEG format so it won't show all of the pictures. Is there a way to convert other types of pictures to JPEG?

Here is a free program that should be able to do all your files for you at once. Basically, you should look for a "Batch image converter". Yes you can use your computer's own installed "paint" program to do your pics one by one, but that would probably take a long time if you have several pics. Other places
to look for image converters would be download.com

If the file is not animated. Open GIF file in photoshop and than go to File>Save For Web, and than say OK and give different filename. If animated GIF file is save to JPEG the animation will be destroyed. You cannot convert animated gif file format to jpeg file format.

Open the image file with Microsoft Paint, found in Accessories in the Start Menu. Save the image file as a JPEG (File -> Save as...).
