Yes, I know wrong category. But I wasn't sure where to put it and a lot of the people here seem pretty smart, so just answer if you know how to do it.

I think I could do it if it were a single story but it's a two story and that's throwing me off.

if it is one floor of house, you take the widht of it from one outside wall to the other and multuply it by the length of the outdie walls. If you have more than one floor or a basement repeat the proces and add together. you do not have to go outside to measure unless you can't reach wall to wall inside the house.

The length times the width equals the square footage.
