As said above, it can be a urinary tract infection, bladder infection or an STD.

If you are really old, then it might be prostate enlargement that usually constricts the urethra... This is true unless if you have the following:

Feel like urinating, but when you go, there is no urine.
Pain on urination.
Go to the toilet MANY times, but little/no urine

Contact your doctor ASAP

At the least, it is a urinary tract infection, at the most an STD.

Drink lots of cranberry juice and wait a day or two before you shell out money to a doctor. If it goes away, it was just a urinary tract infection. If it does not, get to the doctor because it could be a more serious infection or disease.

No dear, it should not. The burning is symptomatic of a local infection.
Go see a doctor. treatment is usually very easy. You swallow a few pills for a few days....

No, that's not normal you need to go and see an Urologist so he can tell you accurately what the problem is.
