Could an oil based clay work?

The oil based clay would release from the plaster. The oil based clay could be removed from the beadboard with difficulty.
What are your plans for the foam after the mold is made?

Oil based clay would be like using the beadboard as an armature. Details or surface treatments could be added

Dude you tried to answer my question and here is what a ripstick is.
It is a skateboard/surboard/snowbaord.
It is designed with a metal seck and surface, two hard rubber wheels, that roll 360.
You move your feet from side to side to go. It acellarates about 15 mph.
That is what it is.

And I have no idea what a formed turned and carved in laminated foam bedboard is. It must not have any importance at all.

You could use water based latex paint. That's what I use for my scenery all the time. It seals the surface.
