I am over the embarassment. My cousin had huge intestinal problems. From an early age she refused to fart. When we were young adults she had to basically have her insides removed and put back in place. I will never forget the lecture her surgeon gave her about letting rip with a good fart now and then to prevent serious damage.

It's always embarrassing, but you can get away with it past 50. My dad is 47 and he's been unapologetically flatulent for years.

I was at the store the other day and this old man with his little cart is going down the isle and lets one out like he was there all alone. He looked about 80 so I'm going to say 80.

I usually save it up for those "Vast Cathedral Church" moments on Sunday when the hundreds of people in the congregation are so silent with "silent prayer" that you could hear a pin drop...
"Kaboom!" echo echo echo...
"Flatulence" at its mightiest and most powerful...
(I'm surprised the military has tried to adopt some kind of flame-throwing weaponry from it...)

My wife has been unapologetically flatulent since she was 23, when I first met her. I'm STILL convinced she can fart on command.

I don't know, but my mother-in-law has NO shame about 'tooting'.
I'm guessing 60 and over.
