*****
I put my head upon the floor
Tied my foot up to the door
Grabbed a hold of unwired
Refrigerator
I put a loop around my waste
And some tape across my face
Then I wrapped the rope around
My scrawny neck
I’ll get it right this time
When, the ladder, up I climb
One of my ideas
Should do the trick

Those who know me well will recognize that this is not about me. My neck can be called many things, not scrawny...
It's Rube Goldberg trying to end it all...
Art, Man, Art! Get over yourself...

That's great! Usually when I wish I had thought of the idea first, something tells me, I like it, and at least in my narrow subjective view, it's quality. Good job. Very witty. It's funny because many poets do use suicide and depression as some sort of sick muse, and some apparently fall so in love with it, they find themselves falling from the rafters. And for the person being critical of your work, based on the serious nature of suicide, I agree suicide is a sick sad act of desperation, but I don't feel your poem is being gratuitous. Suicide is a reality. And sometimes the best way to wake somone up is with a little dark humor. Do we have to be so DEATHLY serious all the time.

Very smooth peotically (except the word refridgerator, it seems out of place). And it sounds a little suicidal! But thats OK because good art always comes from strong emotion.

Don't forget to hold your breath when you grab that rattle snake!!! For that matter it's fun to pre-heat the propane for the bar-b-que by putting the tank in the fire...
Then again your rhyme meter is off, even for Hague

No. It sounds like you are trying to draw attention to an idiotic act of desperation. No matter how "funny" you try to make it sound, the people who actually do these things needed someone or something. Very sad.
