To become the Alpha species we have systematically eliminated competing species or mitigated their threat to our survival. Now, at the apex, mankind is the only viable threat to mankind. In our efforts to guard against, or eliminate that threat, will our survival instinct lead to our demise?

No, we're distributed too far. It might thin out the herd though. Some might figure that he who makes the biggest boom is not the most advanced. Naah.

It is quite probable. All throughout history the biggest threat to humanity has been... Well humanity itself!! How sad that we call ourselves the dominant species and yet in this way we are stupider than even the simplest organisms!

it will lead to what will be close to a demise but in dire situations i belive the good people of this world will pull together and stop whatever the threat is before its too late, even if that means its stopped at a point of near extinction or something like that

it certainly will ...man will destroy himself and many others on his way ..thank god not in my time ..look around the world and see the extinction over the last 50 years ... war ..pollution ,,,and what for mans own satisfaction ...i sum it up in one word ....GREED
