I think of it as both and here is why. Think of something you used to go to the library for. If you can not find it on the internet, you can certainly find the item (book, periodical) that you need to research and purchase it on the internet. So this is why I think it is a tool. For entertainment you can chat/im, ask questions and get answers without even having to go through the awkward meeting. If you find someone you click with you can have a sort of relationship without "totally" exposing yourself and if you decide you click and you live close enough you can meet them if you like. You can also use the internet to view videos, and read articles as more and more are coming to the realization that placing content on the web allows people to access it from the privacy of their home. So instead of being bored at home with nothing to do, you can cruise the internet and look for something that interests you. :>)

Both tool for work and entertaining listening to other peoples songs they make up at home plus yahoo answers of course.

I use it for school a lot, but mostly I hang out here in P&S. That's definitely entertainment! Although I have run into some tools...does that count?

um.....more often then not both I use Y!A as a form of entertainment then as a tool to answer the questions.....see how that works.
