I would pay down my credit card....that would be the wisest thing to do....
But I would really want to put it in the bank toward a new (used) car....

That is a very random number..., but ok. I'd put half in the bank. Then I'd spend the rest on clothes, appliances, or whatever else I really needed. Or I'd put like $300 in the bank and buy a mac laptop!

pay off my car insurance for the year and use the rest to pay a few months up on my rent. sounds good to me...will that be in the form of a check or a money order.
