Well my auntie's sister - in - law went on it and i think it took them 3 or 4 days to complete her house. And a woman around the corner from me had hers done but i am not sure hoe long it took them to do it. It is a load of b.ollocks if people actually think they do it in 60 mins. Its blatantly obvious they don't They don't even do a proper job for example a fitted kitchen takes about 4 days to complete how on earth can they do it 60 mins? They can't. Oh and have you noticed when they do painting you can see that they haven't done it properly? And when they wallpaper with out fail they always leave bubbles in it. This is all because it is a rush job. AND DOES NOT TAKE 60 MINS.
Right i have finished my rant now. LMAO.

Probably a week or so.
Production teams, cameras, security and all the rest have to be set up and this takes time - plus the work itself.
Not bad if you're the lucky subject though, getting all the work done at the viewer's expense. The costs are taken from the licence fees or advertising revenues, so you get a free makeover.
To be honest, I'm sick and tired of all this so-called reality TV ! There's really no such thing.

No way does it take 60 minutes. That couldn't do all that work in such chaos. There must be some bad finishes (cutting in paintwork that kind of thing). Probably days.
60 minutes probably refers to doing everyones make-up.

It must take more than 60 Min's because the paint is dry by the time they show the rooms to the homeowner. It takes ages for paint to dry !!!!!!! Also think of the amount of time it takes just to prepare for a task like that .

i'm not sure, but i always wonder, i wouldnt like them to do my house(well,i would, but not wallpapering) did you see it last week? they beat the world record of hanging wallpaper, but shouldnt the wallpaper have no bubbles and be hung straight? i love the programme but surely everything cant be perfect if its rushed, personally i'd prefer to pay someone to take their time, and have a job well done, p*sses me off though when people dont appreciate it,one woman last week was so ungratful, her fella did it as a surprise, and she could just about utter "thanks" ungrateful cow! lol:-) but apparently it is supposed to be 60mins,so your guess is as good as mine.hope you find out though, cuz i wanna know too:-)

Yes, I've always thought it was a rather dubious claim - if nothing else, paint would still be wet and wallpaper past would make the place feel damp - and in any case, it takes about three days to get that woman who's allegedly the commentator/hostess or whatever she wants to be called to get her big gob shut in order to protect us all from that sandpaper voice of hers ! ! !
