Do you mean from Russian view or from the other side?
What do you mean by ex soviet all former USSR or all influence by USSR?
If you mean from EU side most EU states feel they have rather good relations with Russia today except maybe Poland but I have heared they are changing their mind.

If you are interested one of the Founders of European Union French General De Gaule always thought Russia as part of Europe.

France, Italy, members of the EU, plus Germany - Franco-russian links are strong - Scandinavians also -

Most of second-hand scanners coming to Russia for instance, are from those countries - same thing for real help in reconstruction etc.

The ex-countries of the soviet area even refuse to speak russian - but you can understand this when you know on which side of Stalingrad were romanians, Czecks, bulgarians etc - They were allied with Germans

Poland which is as arrogant as unsignificant, ploughs its little garden of anti-russian hate, having nothing much more to sell

Ukraine and Belarus (not sure if in EU?) ....Russia considers themselves pretty much the same as both in culture and language....which of course they are not
