... well half of it anyway because i got so bored with it all...

I dont understand how this was given 5 stars and is 'one of the most legendary films of all time' - nothing happened!

Am i the only one who thinks this?

Probably. You didn't understand it.

When "Pulp Fiction" came out in 1994, it was electrifying. The dialogue, the soundtrack, the narrative, the dancing - everyone was talking about it. There was nothing else quite like it around. It spawned a lot of imitators for the next decade or so. And the Tarantino influence is still felt in movie violence, cursing, pop culture references in dialogue...

So time and place are the component of its enduring popularity and esteem. A commenter above noted that "Star Wars" seems kinda cheesy now, but it, too, changed movies forever and earned undying popularity.

I get the feeling you're probably a teenager, and you've only seen the watered-down Tarantino imitators, and when you get around to the original it seems dull.

Also - not everybody likes every film. That doesn't mean it doesn't have merit. I still find "Pulp Fiction" delightful and thrilling. Hell, I still use the phrase "Bring out the gimp" with some regularity. But there are plenty of film classics that bore me to tears. I just don't go bellyachin' about it online, demanding others agree with me.

Wow, your taste may be different than mine but from a moviemaking standpoint it is indeed a classic. The acting, the dialogue, and the direction are superb! Like another answerer said, the storytelling was very original and many movies have copied it since. It's like someone watching "Star Wars" for the first time now. They usually don't like it because it's too corny. But it is still a classic because it laid the blueprint for all other sci-fi movies you see today.

Do you like Seinfeld? It's also about nothing but it's a fantastic show. If you think Seinfeld is boring, I think you would be consistent in your view.

Thats your opinion and thoughts of the film and you are entitled to them. It's a great film, probably not as legendary as they say but its certainly not boring.

I would give it another try.. You have to see it through to the end.. It's a new "classic" when it came out in the 90's there was nothing else like it... Which is why is got so much attention.. Nowadays many, many films have copied it's "style" and it's lost a bit of it's new luster... It's got a great soundtrack and an unusual storyline... A must see... give it another go !

It may seem that way but you need to watch it right to the end and it all makes sense. It is a great film but it is not easy viewing.
