Yes!
But I didn't realize that this was a universal trend before you asked this question. My Gramma just used to do it every year, and since she's passed, it's a tradition I carry on in honor of her!
The only thing I leave out is the buttermilk (uuuuuuggggggghhhhhhhhh!), but I think I still manage to do it justice without that extra detail. This is one of the only things that I cook that my Husband actually loves!!!

You forgot the collard greens. Peas are for change (like money) collard greens are for the dollar bills and cornbread helps it all go down.
