they are living creatures just like us, of course they feel pain and have a soul, some are treated so badly that their soul is torn away from them, that's why animals rebel sometimes...i hate people who hurt animals...they are the ones who should be punished

Animals do not have a soul (in the religious sense) as nobody has a soul (my personal belief) However they do feel pain. This is recognised by our society hence the animal cruelty laws. So, I don't really know what you are getting at.

They can't............only God knows that. In Revelations there are many horses, so I choose to believe that they do have a soul and of course they feel pain, as evidenced by a whimpering animal when they get hurt. The Lord placed humans above all the animals, but He also preserved the animal species when He instructed Noah on how to build the boat and have both a male and female of each species inside to protect their species. He must care for them and Jesus is called "The Lamb"!

Many animals feel pain differently to us.
Birds can show no outer symptom of trouble until the bird is on the verge of dying.
For example, we had a toucan that hopped around quite happily for months until it was seen lying in a corner. It was taken to the vets and discovered that it had a multiple fracture in one leg that was several months old.

As for having a soul, well that's for the theologians to debate.

Ignorant self-centered-ness. Can you believe there are some fat lazy indians where I live that want to kill whales? It's a huge battle. The whole bunch of them aren't worth even a minnow, never mind a beautiful whale.
Then there's this "tiger mauling" thing at the zoo- those little thugs taunted her (Tiger named 'Tatiana') and she was killed for doing what animals do- defending her space, defending herself.
I couldn't believe that bank of america has an account set up for the family of the dead kid. What a bunch of crap.
Give me animals over people any day.
They are our equals, and in many (if not most) cases they are way better than us.
Ugh, don't get me started ;-)
Of course they have souls: sweet little souls full of peace and forgiveness. They're little angels, sent to earth to keep me from killing somebody! I call them my "Kitty Valiums"!
All I have to do is look at their sweet little expressions and I smile...so lucky we are to share the world with animals- what a privilege!

It's obvious from physical response that they feel pain. The souls thing, I'm still trying to sort that out for myself, so I'll stay quiet there.

I don't know. It's stupid to believe that. Of course they have souls and of course they feel pain. Otherwise dogs wouldn't whine when they get hurt. I love animals.

Well they certainly feel pain, but as for having a soul, it depends on a person's spiritual beliefs.
