i mainly ride in powder, most people and sizing calculators recommended 161 (i am 6'1 and 155 pounds) . the board i got is a 163. will there really be a difference and if so what happens when riding? thanks!

Those extra 2cm won't make that much difference and will actually help when you are riding in powder - extra length means extra float. A longer board will take some time to get used to, but once you are used to it you probably won't notice the length - especially for Freeride. Make sure that your board is also set up with some setback from the centerline of the board - if it is a freeride board it will be designed that way.

im 6'0 150 lb and i ride a 161, you got a good size.
