Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader.
Because he shows that there is always hope even for the most evil caracter in the universe. And because that black helmet and costume is the most reconible costume any villain had ever. Johan

I always identified with Catherine from Wuthering Heights- the triumph of life and wild nature over boorish civilization. She was the only character in the book with both a heart and brain, but her rights were limited as a woman, and she was at the mercy of the men who ruined her. Fascinating study of character.
I also did a thesis on Lord Aragorn's character from The Lord of the Rings- comparing his Hero Quest to others in medieval literature.
There are many others, but these two come to mind first.

My most facinating fictional character is JAMES BOND - 007. Because he does everything that which I want to do but can't do. like, he fight with enemies with beauty and brain. I can use brain but I have no any beauty. He loves his duty first. He kills Beatyful Witches in his movie and save lovely ladies. a haaaaaa what a lucky guy he is who plays this character.
I salute them who plays this character.

Dagny Taggart from Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. I hope some day I can be half as strong and brilliant. There are so many times when I'm feeling crappy or beat down by life, then I read a few chapters about her and I'm suddenly motivated to never to give up. She is an amazing woman and very inspirational in my life.

Lucius Malfoy from the Harry Potter series.
He is really bad, full of himself, rude to muggles and muggleborns which means basically he is a racist but still if I had the chance I would do anything he wants me to - he would just have to ask.
His arrogant ways and the bad boy style drive me nuts.
ps: I hope you are not too young for this answer - if so please ignore it.

Gollum, from J. R. R. Tolkien's "The lord of the Rings". He's always torn apart between good and bad, in a never-ending and exasperating emotive seesaw. I like him because he's so complicated, so weak, so lost, so confused...he's just a victim: of the Ring, of himself, of events...
