Yes I do because I was interested enough to answer the question in the first place and am interested to find out what was the answer chosen as the best and why. I feel that by reading the answers that others give provides me with further insights into the subject discussed.

No, I usually don't know when those are chosen, unless I have
the time to read and look over the resolved list. Then I refresh
my memory with the questions I answered and will go to see
what I said and compare it to the winning answer. Then I can
see what sort of answer the asker was really looking for. I
usually answer seriously. And sometimes an asker will give
best answer to someone being flip or funny. I just go with the
flow, and don't let it bother me. And why should it? I can only
do my best and often it's not good enough. Or I'd have my
average back up there again LOL.

I do sometimes, especially if the question is about legal stuff. I am often amazed that people give answers which aren't correct, when dealing with housing, benefits, and debt etc and then they are chosen as best. Those are areas of my work and I do have access to the best information sites. I'm not saying I am always right though and some of the answers are far too indepth to post on here. It's interesting to see that some people believe what they want to, when they don't like the correct answer to their question.

Whenever it is a question I have asked. I got to read 12 best Answers of mine. Perks me up a bit. Seems like people don't care what some of us to say and the answer that does not even go with the question wins. It is getting a bit silly to even answer a question anymore as you nor I will get a best answer. It has just become a kids game.
Oh well, it used to be fun to read the other answers before the answer was closed. I would get a star legally and not by cheating.

Yes. Every single time.
If I have taken the time to answer a question, I certaintly keep track of it until a best answer has been chosen. If the asker picks someone else, I want to know why. A good 25% of the time I do not get picked as best. Reading other best answers, particularly on questions I answered helps me become a better answerer.
Of course, those that make a comment like, "I picked your answer because I liked your avatar" really don't leave me much to go on, but you'll have that.
God Bless.

With some questions we do and it was only yesterday that we found out that we could leave a comment for the questioner when we have been chosen for BA. Once the Q has been resolved a comment box appears which is good coz we can't always email folks to say thank you so we can leave them a message now! xx

Yeah, I confess I do. I mean I know there are times when I gave a quick response, and don't expect it to get the best answer vote. But, usually I try to give a thoughtful and through answer, and want to see why it didn't get voted the best. As long as I can see that the one who did got the vote because, even though I may disagree with them, they were able to support their position, I can live with it. It does bother me a bit when somebody other than me gets the best answer vote, and I suspect the main reason is because the person asking the question disagreed with my position, even though I thought I supported my case better than the one they chose. But, I've lived long enough to know people are often more subjective then objective in their decision making, and I don't lose any sleep over it.

Yes, I often do. Especially when I believe that I gave as good an answer as they could get. Generally, I agree with the questioner's opinion that the answer they chose was the best from their point of view. I often learn a great deal from the other answers, too.
I also find myself occasionally disappointed that the questioner didn't choose a best answer but just left the question to voting.

Not usually...
Sometimes I'll check on questions that I couldnt answer very well tuu see if the person found the answer they were looking for, but mostly I just answer new ones.
I think I've only ever had about 3 best answers, so if I wen back and looked at all the other ones, it'd take me hours...

You wouldn't know a best answer had been chosen if yours isn't. You would have to periodically check every question you have ever answered!
I always look when one of mine is chosen, to see if the asker chose it and made a comment.
