If she doesn't want to buy it for you because she thinks that you are irresponsible, then doing your chores and others (Without being asked) will help. Be really nice to her- Don't argue about stuff you would usually want to argue about. That usually makes parents happy, when they think they are right and no one questions them.
But if it's financal, then I'd say get a job. Horses cost alot of money- Buying them is the least amount. Long term stuff like the farrier, vet, hay, grain, and boarding (If you can't keep them at home) cost alot of money. If right now you are borrowing tack from the owner, you would have to buy your own. If you wanted to show, you would have to pay for showing fees as well, and find a way to get there. You might have to buy a trailer. (Which is useful for many things)
But if you board your horse at a stable, which usually includes food, bedding, turnout, ect. ect., you can cut the costs by seeing if the owner of the barn will let you work in exchange for either free or reduced boarding for your horse.
Good Luck!

wow, you're lucky to still be able to be around horses. I rode and took care of horses for 4 years, but because of personal things, i had to quit. Anyway. a horse is a HUGE responsibility and you mom may just think that you arent ready. Be mature when talking to her and tell her calmly why you feel that you need that horse in your life. Another issue may be the cost. As you probably know, horses are VERY costly. However, if you really put your heart into it, and know that you will never tire of the daily responsibility, then maybe your mom should realize that you might be ready for this jump in responsibility. good luck and I hope your mom changes her mind. =)

It all depends why your mum won't buy her for you. Can she afford to keep a horse? Does she think you are commited enough to look after it? etc etc. You need to prove to your mum that buying a horse will benefit you, keep you out of trouble and give you a hobbie that also keeps you fit and healthy. If she can't afford to keep a horse think of a way you can help make cut backs like get a weekend job or help her around the house, wash her car etc etc. If she can't afford to buy the horse what can you sell to raise the money? Just re-assure her that you love this animal and it will break you heart to see her sold, hopefully she will come round. I bit of sweet talking may also help!

Maybe if you promised your Mom that you are willing to do odd jobs for other people to earn the nessacary money to purchase to buy this horse and also to take care of it. Unfortunately horses can be very expensive and often when the unexpected arises then you have to have the money to care for her. It could be that your Mom just can't afford to buy her for you or she would like for you to show some responsibility like the responsibility of taking care of the financial aspects of owning a horse. I would sit down with your Mom and talk to her without getting upset and explain to her that you are willing to do your part when it comes to the financial end of it. Good luck to you.

So you want to buy a horse but your mom won't let you? Maybe you just got to prove her you're responsible for one. Like Clean the house. If you have a pet do all the work for the pet instead of your mom, Then I am sure she will buy you one! Just prove to her you can do it!

Get a job and pay for it yourself.
Your mom's responsibility is to clothe, feed and school you, not buy you a my pretty pony.
Or you can read the countless other questions on this section about the very same thing from kids that are whining to get your answers...........
Go get a job and if you tell me your too young, then quit the bellyaching.
