A comment in my local newspaper suggests the men involved were participating in a gang initiation and were not just innocent bystanders.Has anyone else heard this?

It wasn't a news report that said this, it was a reader comment section.
Personally think it sounds crazy, but just wondered if anyone else had seen or heard this.

I don't think its crazy, it would explain why the two survivors are still so tight lipped.

It very well could have been or an good example of being a bully.
The tiger, Tatiana, did not eat the victims, but attacked as if angry or being defensive.
Sort of proof that if you back some one into a corner, they will come out fighting.
Sadly, this is another one of those things that we may never know the true story. Kinda like OJ!

Your local newspaper sounds like a gossip column. All the investigations are almost over. The zoo has been involved in this before, they have been negligent in almost every way. They have ignored warnings and, fines.
I would guess in the future there just won't be a zoo, they're already behind one lawsuit, how are they going to handle another, along with all the laws they broke.

That sounds far fetched but then again, gang memers are so effing stupid, it just might be true. One thing is for sure, the tiger just didn't cross that moat for no apparent reason.

That sounds really stupid, just what gang in US history has used pissing off a tiger for gang initiation?
