I never fell pregnant with it but as soon as it was taken out....you guessed it! I'm 12 weeks pregnant!
Usually the only way to get pregnant with one in, is if it has moved or come out in some way making it ineffective. Otherwise they are a lot safer than most other methods. Make sure to check the threads so that you know its in there and report any abnormalities to your doctor. I had problems with mine making my uterus contract like labour contractions. (like it was trying to expel it as a foreign object) Thats why I had it out.

Well, my husband was conceived when his Mum had the coil fitted, so it definitely can happen! However his family are ridiculously fertile (apart from him being a happy accident, our first son was conceived while I was on the pill and the same happened with his brother's little boy) so it seems it's probably a rare occurrence. If you REALLY really don't want another child it's probably best to take extra precautions as well as the coil - nothing's ever 100%!

I have a coil and ive had it since 2006, not caught yet and fingers crossed i dont either as i have 3 kids under 6 already.

i did different than for a sprint back soreness now and back i had it taken out by utilizing a representative obgyn plus i had a healthy 5lb 12oz little female who's now 13 if it does reason you issues or you're aggravating look for suggestion out of your gp midwife or obgyn for suggestion on what to do stable success

my friend got pregnant with the coil and god bless her the placenta grew around it and she lost her little boy at 5.5 months pregnant. as you can imagine it was horrible but apparently not uncommon!

My niece went for her first checkup, to find it had slipped. Had to have a P test. Possitive. He is 12 now.
