He said he was ready to open the innings.Either on his own or under instructions he played too defensively and into the hands of the Australians making it difficult for the rest.Though not always, counter attack is also a way of defence. After a few overs of defence they should have started scoring runs which should not be difficult with a very attacking field.
He should not play with such an attitude. At least one of the openers should be positive scoring in singles at least initially.

Dravid shold be dropped from the next match but not forever. he is a good player, but is currently out of form. It happens once in a while with every cricketer. Let him correct himself and come back to the team as dada did. Senwag should be given a chance in the next test.

No! not at all. On the other hand it shd be Dhoni and Yuvaraj who are to be dropped and make way for others to try their chance. Remember Greg Chappel's "experimentation" rule. Any way u've taken 16 men on the tour. Why not give all of them some chance.

That will be another foolish step.Dravid is one of Indias best hope even in trying circumstances like this Yuvaraj Singh is not fit for test match and he should be dropped and opening slot should be given to someone else.Call Sreesanth back,he is your best hope if you want to win.

If you are saying this because of his poor show in the first test, then we would have drop all the batsmen in the team. Why should only Dravid be dropped?

No, never drop Dravid from test cricket. I think instead of dropping him from the side we should make him play at his favourite position that is at no.3. If you do this, I am guaranteed that he will be at his best

No but he shouldn't open. I would want to bring in Sehwag and drop useless Jaffer but who would open??? Maybe Sehwag and Dohni open..
1. Sehwag
2. Dohni
3. Laxman
4. Tendulkar
5. Dravid
6. Ganguly
7. Yuvraj
What is Jaffer doing in there!? He doesn't have the runs behind him to face the Aussies

You cannot drop such a talented and experienced stalwart like Dravid on the basis of 3 or 4 matches.....if we see it that way then you answer 1 question of mine.......Sehwag was playing horribly for 2-3 years at a stretch....yet he was there in the playing 11.....what answer do you propose to this

No, dravid should not dropped from next matches. All players have up & downs. Please give him some more time. He is technically good batsmen. He needs support from his teammets
Dravid will be back soon.
