Exception means that something is excluded from something. Put another way: If you're excepted from a group of people, you're not part of that very group. It can also mean that something is rather unusual, not the way it normally is. Example: "All computer guys are pale nerds. Well, except for Andrew, he's a surfer and a computer guy, but he's just the exception that proves the rule." Acception is a synonyme of acceptance. Like when you apply for a college, if they let you in you will receive a letter of acceptance / a letter of acception. Example: "Acception for gays and lesbians on TV is far greater today than it was twenty years ago. People have started to accept others the way they are."

Doesn't even have to be intimate; it doesn't even have to be between a male and a female. Guys who are good friends love each other although they don't go around bringing it up. It's intimate m/f love that can make or break love; it's the most intense kind, and also the most likely to fail/end catastrophically.
Take marriage: in order to keep the love alive in marriage you have to constantly be working on it. Once the initial 'spark' fades, you are Inventing it, then reinventing it. It dies, then you work to resurrect it. Kind of makes it all artificial if you break it all down.
I think 'true love' as some call it is very unstable. I'd liken it to a marvelous, but very unstable molecule. The molecule can in some cases hold it's integrity, but by it's nature it usually disintegrates.
