I presume you meant " Important "?
if that is so, well, your parameters have not been defined, generally being alive is important. Drinking is not, and eating healthy food is important. Being a good human is important.
If you really meant "impotent". Generally it sums up to perfomance capabilities. Whether sexual or asexual, does not matter, a man could be impotent to sexually arouse his mate. A man could be impotent to run a company. So it matters
what and how you apply it to any context.

Surrender to other's will is impotency. Surrender out of one's own will is potent.
A strong man finds it very difficult to surrender but only a strong man can surrender. A weak man finds it very easy to surrender, but then the surrender is impotent. There is nothing worthwhile in it; he has nothing to surrender. So you have to understand the paradox. Only a man of very strong will is capable of surrendering totally. It is the greatest will -- to surrender totally. If you don't have will, you cannot surrender because you have nothing to surrender.
