i have this idea for a movie nd show

is there a way i can copy write this idea so no one can use it

also is there a copyright that like works world wide

There is no way to copyright your idea, at least in the U.S. You can copyright an expression of your idea, such as a treatment of your movie or tv show. However, this will not protect your overall idea.

Once you have written a treatment, you can register your treatment with the Writers Guild of America. At best, this may establish a date of creation for your treatment. However, this also does not prevent another from using your idea.

you can copyright a script or treatment. copyright requires a fixed form and "ideas" don't fit that requirement. countries that are members of the WTO are required to respect the copyrights that are given in the home country of the author. some third world countries do not observe copyrights but they are of such small economic force that it will not damage your works substantially.
