yes, thats right I said advantages. Since forever, I've been hearing about how the rainforest is being cut down and what the outcome of that is. well, if its so bad, why don't they just stop? well obviously there is some good for it then. what are the advantages of cutting down the rainforest?

They get economic advantages by making farms and harvesting lumber.
But the rainforest at the equator is important for global temperature control. It should be protected from extinction, just like animals are protected.

Warming up the globe, getting more carbon into the air, providing space for the exponentially expanding human population.
