I need help coming up with a topic for a doctoral thesis in business?

I think a fascinating topic would be the negative effects of bakshish on business in general in Egypt. It's a cultural norm, but it greatly hinders the conduct of business in terms of using best qualified people, having efficient markets, and the like. I found it interesting to observe when I was there and met with/interviewed Egyptian businesspeople. The practice is keeping down the Egyptian economy, even though some people obviously benefit.
