I sent money to a company using western union which charged me for it on top of the fee I got for cashing the cheque at moneymart. The company is a scam. Will I get the funds AND the transaction fees back? I don't have good credit, much of a job, not in school, not a home owner, the bank said to get a loan... Which company can help me in Vancouver? Should I sew, WHAT SHOULD I DO???

You CAN'T fix that. They asked you to use Western Union specifically because you can't recover ANYTHING. Chalk this up to 'stupid tax'. You did something stupid (we all do form time to time) and it cost you money.

About the only thing you can do is chock it up to experience. Once the money is collected there is no way to recover it or track the recipient. If it hasn't been collected yet you CAN cancel the transaction and get the money back but WU will NOT refund any of the fees.

The little known truth with Westen Union is that wired funds can be collected ANYWHERE on the planet, regardless of the delivery address you put on the slip. As long as the recipient has some form of ID with the same name on it and knows the amount, WU will pay it out. Frequently these scam artists give an address in the UK, US or Canada but the funds are collected in Lithuania, Nigeria, Ivory Coast or some other such corrupt location.
