Not completely ruined but in 1974, 3 kids, Hubby and me pitched our trailer tent a few hundred yards from the sea at Westwood Ho in Devon. The back of our tent faced the sea so as it tipped down with rain and the wind howled, all night and the canvas was pushed against the metal frames, we woke up in an inch of water, in our sleeping bags.
Undeterred, we set our sleeping bags out to dry and made a 60 mile round trip to buy plastic survival bags to get through the night ahead.
We snuggled down and the next morning we awoke as wet as ever because the plastic survival bags had made us all sweat so much.

Wow, isn't that unusual for Australia?

It is very cold here and my big problem is bad circulation, so I am always cold and everyone is too warm, when I have the heat turned up on 80 degrees.

It is -7 degrees below zero and all through the holiday it snowed off and on, making it hard for relatives to travel here for Christmas.

Can't wish for better next year because this just happens every winter.

We definitely do not have Global Warming in our area.

Here in Texas, we rarely have bad weather this early, but a few years ago we did. A horrible ice storm during the day on Christmas Eve shut down the roads and airports. Our incoming guests got stuck in airports around the state and we had to shift the celebrations by one day. But, it didn't actually ruin the holiday...just delayed it.

I don't think the holidays were ever completely ruined for us, we always made the best of what we had. In Minnesota the winter weather can be very fickle and you learn to shop ahead and plan for the unexpected.

I stay in Arizona which climate it is particularly consistent aside from our loopy summer season monsoons. The sky's could nicely be sparkling & then hastily huge wind/dirt storms initiate, then the clouds roll wherein deliver huge quantities of rain unexpectedly w/ the scariest sounding thunder that shakes the floor. i became using down the line & I regarded up & observed the dirt hurricane rolling in & raced homestead. I have been given the saddle off merely in the previous the rain got here down even nonetheless it became so no longer easy struggling with the wind to come again homestead. It became fairly frightening.

Made things difficult aat times, but a holiday can't be ruined by weather -- it's a natural thing to live with.

No, once I got an unexpected present for my early April birthday. A freak snowstorm canceled school and gave me the day off from work.

I'm generally fond of weather. Had a pretty good helping of it the past few weeks, which offered some challenges I'm grateful for.

That's too bad for them!!!
For me, weather has never ruined my holidays... One Winter, we had extreme snow that it iced over and my mom and I slid down our front hill into the street, on rubber made lids! No sleds! =D This year, it snowed on Christmas!!! =D Didn't stick but it was AWESOME!!!
