the alter ego is considered to be the demon sided personality within yourself and mpd is multiple personality disordes .difference the alter ego only has two the ego and alter,mpd has multiple many may personalities

alter ego is mainly a literary term;as in jekyl and hyde.mpd is a disorder resulting from abuse and manifested by a system of alters.possession is usually pertaining to as an evil personification
