In my opinion all the mavs need for a championship is some low post scoring, veteran leadership and some toughness. Shaq can bring all three to the mavericks. The mavericks all ready have a ton of people they don't need anyway so they can do a trade with the Miami Heat. I would say they should trade Mo Ager, Trenton Hassell, JJ Barea, Juwan Howard and a second round pick for Shaq. The only problem I think would be in the locker room because Dirk and most people here in the Dallas area hates Dwyane wade which may annooy shaq. Tell me do you think this trade can work? Or tell me a trade that can work without braaking up the core of the mavericks.

Shaq is done. There are much better low post options out there at this point, and considering Shaq recently came to close to recording a record number of consecutive foul-out-disqualifications he is hardly attracting offers from other teams. The way the mavs are set up actually turns the center into a role position for them. The center in their system is there for defense and rebounding...little else. To try to throw in a center whose purpose was to be a low post scoring threat would necessarily require them to change a large portion of their roster to get the right pieces in place for it to work.

Are you kidding?Shaq can barely move anymore. Why would the Mavs want him at this point?

I'm convinced they used a double in that ESPN commercial with shaq rescuing the LSU mascot from the tree!

if they need a low post scoring/defense they should go for chris webber...not shaq cos hes already old while Cwebb has still a lot to contribute to a team if he's given a chance

Tim Duncan is the perfect man for post presence, toughness, and veteran leadership. Unfortunately, he's the Spurs leader and the Mavs' arch rival.

I hope not, that would be a big mistake, especially the Shaq of now.

All fans love to give something for nothing. You would need to give up Devin Harris + to get Shaq
