Can anyone tell me some names of highly romantic restaurants in the St. Louis or Fairview Heights/O'Fallon area that isn't too expensive? Maybe around $100-125 for two. My girlfriend and I are celebrating our one year anniversery and I want to make it a night she will never forget. Any suggestion is appriciated.

Anywhere on the hill, or Gary's on Grand. It's on Grand downtown, look it up on mapquest. It's across the street from the symphony orchestra, so maybe there will be a show?

Kemoll's in downtown St. Louis is a very lovely place to have dinner. It is very expensive though unless you get the Early Evening Dinner which is available from 5 - 6:30pm. Your order must be in by 6:30 to get the special. But with the EED 2 people could eat there for around 100 - 125. You could always check out there website at www.kemolls.com . The EED menu consists of a smaller menu which comes with your salad, entree and a dessert for 19.95, (oh, and their FABULOUS garlic cheese bread is included). Some select meat entree's are 22.95. The portions are very generous even with the EED though. If you do visit the website, please note that Top of The Met is a Banquet facility and is not the same thing as Kemoll's. It is technically Top of the Met BY Kemoll's. Kemoll's owns it. And one last important note, EED is not available on New Years Eve.

The best place is Sydney Street Cafe. It is rated one of the top places in St. Louis every year, it is romantic, the service is wonderful (try to ask for Richard) and make reservations early. It is tough to get into because it has wonderful food. It is not a place to be seen or a trendy place but it has always had wonderful, creative food consistently every year. This is one place that is awesome from the rolls to the desserts which is very hard to find. Plus most of the lighting is provided by candlelight.
