I feel that with Nash, they would have had more finals apperances, but an NBA title? I doubt. If the coaching change would have been like it was now(from nelson to avery), I think Nash's offensive talents would not have been tapped to what we see now with the Suns's style of play. Avery is a more defensive minded coach due to his time with Popovich in San Antonio and the way he plays. What would be to Nash's advantage with Avery is he is also a fellow PG who could relate to Nash as a man commanding the ball and directing his team.
The lineup looks very solid to me as well. However, the guard seems to be small. Granted, most teams are playing smaller lineups to spread the floor but Terry is not the Bell or Joe Johnson that Nash have or had in Phoenix with him running the backcourt. THose two were also good shooters like Terry, but the difference is they have atleast 6-5 or 6-7 while Terry gives away too much height at 6-2 and at the SG position. Even though Nash has the ball, I think he would look for more heigh with him at the backcourt. So I think if this was the dallas lineup, they would attack this one right away. Luckily, there is still Nowitzki that would draw more attention than the two. But yeah, its still doubtful for me to see the mavs with Nash as champs. I mean sure, they could be having more western conference titles but faced by the East(most likely Detroit or Celtics) champs, I dont think they could have the staying power to win the finals.

Absolutely, the Mavs woud have been unstoppable and would've had a dynasty but then again don't forget they won 67 games without him but I think they needed him in the playoffs, Mavs are not good with assists and the day they play alot of assists, they win. Nash is the missing piece to tat buzzle.

they'll be a good team, but Nash strive under D'Antoni's style, Nash would not be as effective under Avery Johnson's style
